The Perlman Music Program/Suncoast (PMP/Suncoast) encourages artistic development and camaraderie among young international string musicians via a nurturing, non-competitive and world-renowned music education program. PMP/Suncoast cultivates regional and national participation and support by offering premier cultural and educational outreach programs, world-class performances, and other events and initiatives in the Sarasota-Manatee region.

The PMP Sarasota Winter Residency
The Perlman Music Program (PMP) has held a Winter Residency in Sarasota since 2004. This intensive two-week program founded by Toby Perlman, wife of internationally acclaimed concert violinist and conductor Itzhak Perlman, offers unparalleled musical training for students, ages 12 to 20+, who play the violin, viola, cello, and bass. Education Outreach Program
Our year-round Education Outreach Program brings PMP alumni as teaching artists into elementary, middle and high schools in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
